Deleting your Finql account
Finql, published by Finql, lets you delete your account and its associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete from inside the app
- Open the Finql app and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Open Settings, then choose Delete my account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
- Tap Delete My Account.
Your account and its data are removed immediately, and you are signed out on every device.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email support@finql.app from the address registered to your Finql account with the subject "Delete my account". We verify ownership of the address before acting on the request and complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile and personal information — name, email address, date of birth, and a phone number if you provided one for a reward
- Your learning progress, XP, level, and lesson history
- Your Seeds balance, redemption history, and referral records
- Your practice trading positions, order history, and trade journal entries
- Your badges, streaks, and daily challenge results
- Your preferences, settings, and saved bird customisation
- Your push notification tokens and all active sessions
What is kept
- A minimal security record of the deletion event — the date, the originating IP address, and the device user agent. We keep this for fraud prevention and to meet our legal obligations. It is retained for 24 months and is not linked to a usable account.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records supporting tax and accounting obligations, retained for the period the applicable law requires.
- Purchase receipts held by Apple or Google for subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play. Those are controlled by the store under its own policy, not by Finql. Deleting your Finql account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Before you delete
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To avoid further charges, cancel the subscription in the store you bought it from before deleting your account.
