Terms of Service

Welcome to Finql. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Finql mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Finql ("Finql", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Finql is — and what it is not

Finql is a gamified finance-education platform. It helps you learn how markets and trading work through lessons, quizzes, daily challenges, and a fully simulated trading sandbox.

Finql is not a brokerage and does not provide financial advice:

• All prices, candles, symbols, and charts in the app are simulated. They do not represent any real market, instrument, or live price.
• There is no real money, no real trading, no deposits, and no withdrawals in the app. Simulated profit and loss are performance metrics only and have no monetary value.
• Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Content is for educational purposes only. Always do your own research and consult a licensed professional before making real financial decisions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. By using Finql you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us at support@finql.app if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Finql offers a free tier and optional premium subscriptions:

• Premium subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play and are billed by the relevant store.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Payments are handled by the app stores, and refunds are subject to their policies. We do not process or store payment card details.
• Premium unlocks additional learning content and features as described in the app.

5. Virtual items — XP, Seeds, and rewards

• XP and Seeds are in-app points with no monetary value. They cannot be purchased, transferred, exchanged for cash, or redeemed outside the Service except as expressly offered in the in-app shop.
• Seeds can be redeemed for rewards offered in the app. Reward availability, pricing, and fulfilment are determined by us and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
• We may adjust, expire, or reset points and rewards to maintain fairness, fix errors, or address abuse.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe the rights of others while using the Service.
• Attempt to cheat, exploit, automate, reverse-engineer, or manipulate XP, Seeds, streaks, leaderboards, challenges, or rewards.
• Disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its content, lessons, design, and branding, is owned by Finql or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create, such as trade journal notes and support messages. You grant us a licence to host and use it as needed to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the educational content is complete or suitable for your circumstances. Simulated results do not predict real-world outcomes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finql will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from real-world financial decisions you make. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of the UAE, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
